Dear Editor,--I was struck by a remark in a paper in a recent number of the Parents' Review to the effect that the usual method of teaching children chiefly, or almost entirely, English history was calculated to throw the history of the rest of the world into wrong perspective for them.
I am sure this is quite true, and I should be very glad to have some hints how to teach history in some way which would give a more comprehensive and broad-minded view that children usually get in early years.
I should also like to know the opinions of some parents on the merits of German v. English governesses for girls of twelve to fourteen years and onwards.
